Welcome to Mr. Kirk's
Physical Education CLASS!
Where every student can be successful!
Dear Parent and/or Guardian,
I will be instructing your child this year in physical education. My goal is to present a curriculum that is enriching and motivating to all students at all fitness levels and abilities. Students can learn to make good lifetime health and fitness choices. With the use of positive and constructive feedback, students will be educated about different levels of intensity they can participate while developing their own personal fitness profile.
I want my students to understand that fitness activities can bring a quality of life that money can't buy. Fitness activities should be fun. By understanding the curricula presented to them, they should be able to make good choices for a lifetime of physical activity. If there are any questions, please feel free to call me at (618-343-2199) or
e-mail me at [email protected]. You can also refer to my personal website at http://mrkirkpe.weebly.com.
Sincerely for healthy active children,
Mr. Kirk

- I believe that physical education is a part of the total school curriculum which uniquely focuses on the physical development of the child, while also addressing the emotional, intellectual and social needs of the child. The main focus for each content unit shall be:
- Cognitive development in sport and game, written tests, fitness education and how it relates to the sport.
- Affective development in co-education classes and cooperative games, sportsmanship and team work.
- Psychomotor development through activities and skill development.
